Focus on Bisbee-The Story of our Beginnings

We began Focus on Bisbee as a cable radio show that was located at Old Tymer's Restaurant and Saloon, but when the primary elections rolled around in the fall of 2004, we made a spur-of-the moment decision to add video to the mix and move the show back to our studio at 99 Bisbee Road. State, county and local candidates were our guests for the first two television shows. They graciously donned headset microphones, sat in front of a stark, gray brick wall (viewers said that our guests look like they were in jail) and informed voters of their future intentions should they gather the most votes. We knew video was here to stay because we received four calls offering more suitable backdrops!

Since our debut, our guests have included mayors, authors, artists, chefs, actors, musicians, pageant contestants and many homeless animals.

Varmints in the studio - 2009

In the spring of 2009, we ran into " poltergeists " in our studio. The little varmints played havoc with every piece of technology we had. Weighing heavily on our shoulders was the responsibility of the Annual Boys and Girls Club Telethon that was scheduled in May. The decision was made to postpone broadcast of Focus on Bisbee and turn efforts temporarily to the telethon.

Popular Demand Wins!

After almost a year hiatus, Focus on Bisbee returned to the airwaves February 26th, 2010. The fact is that we had moved on to Cochise County TV and considered Focus on Bisbee a thing of the past until several requests (and sponsorship) changed our minds.

Focus on Bisbee Today!

We're back on the air and our loyal audience is tuning in once again to continue learning about Bisbee. Our guests may surprise you. They will, no doubt entertain you and most likely, no matter how much you keep informed about what's going on in Bisbee, after you watch Focus on Bisbee you will find yourself saying,"I didn't know that."
